Also I think it should be noted that this is Great America. Great Adventure is located in New Jersey.

Six Flags Great America is sinking fast

The place is bankrupt. Painting, maintenance, cleaning, training have all been cut back. Six Flags had iffy ride maintenance before, I can only imagine how bad it is now. Keep in mind that some of the attractions are from 1976! Holy metal fatigue! Several attraction break down on a regular basis. Prices are sky high for food and beverages. Food quality is very low. Stick to Panda Express or Johnny Rockets for decent food.Staffing levels are kept low so lines are long for everything from the bathrooms to the roller coasters.Other posters are correct...the park is very dirty and could use soap and water. Peeling paint makes the place seem like it is on its last legs.If only Marriott still owned the place

Once Great America, now just another pocket-digging park

Dirty. The park needs a steam cleaning so bad it's not even funny. Bathrooms smell. What happened to landscaping? Bare earth is somehow in or something. peeling paint and overpriced food. Oh wait, I forgot the lockers you have to PAY for to get on rides. I've been to about 15 parks in my life and this is the only one to make you pay for a locker before waiting in line for 1.5+ hours. why did they add bring a friend for free day? Now we have to check the calender before going as those days are just insanely crowded and there's no way ANYONE can get near a roller coaster in under 2 hours. I used to enjoy taking my kids there. Now it's a summer must that I endure. Shame, I used to love the place, but they fleeced the flock once too often for my taste.
