St. Colette School Reviews

St. Colette is a great school. Most of the teachers are fantastic and they work hard with the students. However, the principal is often difficult to deal with. She has been at St. Colette for many years and has learned how to put on a false front with those around her and is a pro at acting like she cares. This school is not capable of dealing with children with disabilities. If your child has special needs, the public schools will provide a much better education. If you child is average or gifted, then this school is a great choice. If you can see past the principal, then this school is for you!

My 3 daughters went to St Colette and they were happy there. It has good teachers, small class sizes and a dedicated principal who knows all the students by name, and who has done a lot to ensure that the school has a wonderful family environment (where the students really care for each other). Work has now taken my family away from IL, but my kids still remember the school fondly.

I have had my daughter in St. Colette since 2004 and she absolutely loves it there. It is a wonderful community and the small class sizes are extremely beneficial to her learning as well as her social development. The teachers at this school are phenomenal!

Wonderful does not even begin to describe St. Colette School. We have been part of the school family since 2004. We switched my daughter from a private school to St. Colette and we never looked back. All the teachers are great, the building is beautiful, and technology is top-notch, and the caring community of teachers and families is wonderful. St. Colette is a great school with teachers who care about all the students!

St. Colette has been a gift to our family. We have three children enrolled at St. Colette. The academic program here is second to none. We live in a community of award winning public schools, and we still choose St. Collette for the academics. We also choose St. Colette for the spiritual training they are receiving. We feel we are rasing future husbands, fathers, wives and mothers. We want them to know how to make the right decisons when life approaches them with difficult and maybe not so difficult situations. The school is headed by a principal who has a never ending committment to the school. We are blessed to have someone who can wear as many hats as she does. We are thankful to St. Colette. Ask yourself how many people feel that way about their children's school.

We love this school! Even after we purchased a home 17 miles away from the school, we still have our son enrolled at St. Colette. The principal is fantastic. She attended St. Colette herself in the 1960's. She brings to true love for education and a passion for the students to her 10-12 hour-a-day job. She knows every or nearly every child by first name. Parental involvement is great, too. Without parental involvement, the school would not be flourishing. Our son and all the other kids are learning proper values -- before political correctness nonsense, there was and is Judeo-Christian values: Respect for yourself and others, discipline, courtesy, accountability, and a proper understanding of our place in the scheme of things i.e. acknowledging that we have a Creator. Former students stop in frequently, too, which wonderful and surprising to me. I have never felt the desire to return to any of my schools,as a rule, just to visit. St. Colette School also excels in scholastics. It is a great school.
